Pinoth Trooper In Snow

Filed under: snow — admin @ 1:51 pm

Yes the bad weather is uopn us in the UK, but hopefully even the worst snow fdall will not be to the levels these rubber tracked vehicles are designed to go. Even in the deepest of snow these vehicles use the benefits of their rubber tracks to dig into the snow without sinking into it. You can see how these Pinoth Troppers can be used on snow slopes all around the world, both for maintenance and for saftery issues also. Of course the last thing they need is for theor tracks to snap in these conditions, so only by using the best quality rubber tracks can be an option in these snow bound areas.

Fixing Rubber Tracks in The Snow

Filed under: snow — admin @ 12:07 pm

The bad news about having a tracked vehicle that can just about go anywhere in the snow, is changing the rubber tracks in the same conditions. This need not be as hard as you may think, in this video you will see how some Terra rubber tracks were changed in the snow and it took around 47 minutes. Of course they knew what they were doing and the video has been reduced in size. But it does give a good indictaion of what is required to change any rubber tracks on a smallish vehicle in the snow.

Cat Rubber Tracked Loader

Filed under: snow — admin @ 10:22 am

There is no doubt that these little machines can’t half move and in this case get that snow out of the way. The rubber tracks give superb movement ability over the snow and and grip on the slipply roads maving this an ideal snow moving machine. They are of course very fast and not like your typical rubber tracked machine moving at 2 mph.

We know every winter the UK will get caought out with snowfall, where every other country in Europe will handle it better. Maybe we should get some more of these quick Cat machines or similar with rubber tracksĀ  to keep the UK moving in winter.
