Christmas Shut Down To Sites

Filed under: general — admin @ 5:33 pm

Apart from the fact the snow hit the UK like something else today, this world normally be the time that workers and machines shut down for the next 2 weeks over Christmas. The drivers see their familes more and the machines sit and wait for their operators to return in the new year. security guards are often the only company excavators, bulldozers and most heavy machninery will get for the festive season. When start up time occurs early next year, we will see how good the parts will be and how they have handle these extreme weather condition. So if you see a lonly excavator sitting on its rubber tracks in a field or a building site, give it a wave and wish a merry Christmas.

Big Machines Dancing

Filed under: general — admin @ 5:27 pm

How to take some huge rubber tracked machines and turn it into art. Some great dancing moves from these excavators shwoing how versitile and precise these vehicles can be. The drivers were paid to help concieve this movie and shows these normally dirty industry vehicles in a diffrerent light, as they show their stuff to music.

ABC news reports on the video and compliments the production, design and drivers, watch and enjoy.

Astonishing Unloading of an Excavator

Filed under: general — admin @ 12:21 am

Of course these large vehicles often need to be transported on the back of a lorry to sites where they are going to work. However in this case you will see how they get this excavator off the lorry in an astonishing way. As you see the excavator move towards the back of the lorry, you see the lorry rise in to the air, as the weight is distributed to the rear of the vehicle. The rubbers tracks on the excavator preventing it slipping off the back. But then as the excavator leave the lorry, it uses its bucket to push down on the ground and slowly let the lorry back to ground. A combination of grip from its rubber tracks and power, pushing down on its bucket, allowed this astonishing to take place.

How Rubber Tracks Loaders are Made

Filed under: general — admin @ 12:11 am

It first shows you a little model of a rubber tracked vehicle before we go in to more detail about making a loader for rubber tracks. They start off with the  undercarriage before moving on the the hydrolics and main body, but beware as there are different terms for different vehicles and countries. These loaders are extremly versatile, using their rubber tracks to handle water and anything else thrown at it. In fact it is so unusul to see these so clean and yellow. Within a few days of usage, these workhorses will be black with mud and the yellow will be something of a memory. Interesting how its made stuff.

Pinoth Trooper In Snow

Filed under: snow — admin @ 1:51 pm

Yes the bad weather is uopn us in the UK, but hopefully even the worst snow fdall will not be to the levels these rubber tracked vehicles are designed to go. Even in the deepest of snow these vehicles use the benefits of their rubber tracks to dig into the snow without sinking into it. You can see how these Pinoth Troppers can be used on snow slopes all around the world, both for maintenance and for saftery issues also. Of course the last thing they need is for theor tracks to snap in these conditions, so only by using the best quality rubber tracks can be an option in these snow bound areas.

Working in Swamp and Mud

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:47 pm

Why does businesses need rubber tracked vehicles? Well to work in muddy and swamp conditions as this video proves. Can you imageing trying to drive a normal vehicle with 4 wheels through this type of terrain.  Using rubber tracks to spread the weaight of the vehicle acroos a larger area is the trick to these vehicles not getting stuck in the mud.

Then by clever design if you add track shoes to these rubber tracks you get even more grip and propulsion meaning you cab get into the muddiest areas with the driver staying nice and dry. This Pinoth troper i a geart example of vehicles designed to go where no othere want to or at least be attemted. Here watch the video.

Hard Working Times

Filed under: general — admin @ 12:06 am

During the summer months we might just love to have a job outside the office but when it comes to this time of year you have ot sparea though for those out driving excavtors and bulldozers through some of the worst weather, wet and muddy conditions. It is respect to these rubber tracked vehicles that allow the building or heavy moving industries still continue in weather you would not walk the dog in.

It is these times we get to see the reliability of these vehicles and how flexible they are in bad conditions. the last thing you want to have to do, is change something like an excavator undercarriage or even its rubber tracks in these conditions. What every worker wants is a quiet clean and warm working day at teh wheel or stick of his tracked machine, hopefully with a working heater.

Next generation Of Rubber Tracks

Filed under: adverts — admin @ 1:23 pm

Here is an advert from Maclaren who sell rubber tracks in the USA. The video shows the strength and durability of the Mclaren range of rubber tracks that match what comapnies like MST Tracks offer here in the UK.

Tear resistenat rubber compounds seem to be the biggest advantage to long life and durability, the last thing you want to do is have to stop work because of poor quality products. Floatation and ride quality also seems to be on the agenda, although I doubt any of the workers are expecting a luxury driving experience. These rubber tracks also have a steel core and steel cabes to keep everything topgether, of course similar products are available here in the United Kingdom, keeping your business.

Looking At the D9gp1 Bulldozer Undercarriage

Filed under: general — admin @ 4:39 pm

Get a look at this, heaven for someone and nothing but a CO2 nightmre for others. This looks like some machine not seen often in the UK with a paint pot stuck over its funnel (just joking). Well the bulldozer undercarriage here is some size, compared to the machine itself, so you can image the power that will come from this machine, not doubt a great workhorse

Excavator Undercarriages

Filed under: general — admin @ 4:08 pm

In order for these rubber tracks to benefit their working applications they are normaly  attached to an underacarriage say on a excavator or bulldozer. So the excavator undercarriage becomes an important feature in the manouvreability and flexibility of movement. In fact their is a whole industry waitng to sell these excavator parts for all types of machines, especially as many of thes vehicles work 24/7 in terrible conditions and weathers, so keeping these vehicles maintained is very important. Ok here is a very boring video ona Excavator undercarriage to remind us what one looks like during working hours.
