Boom Lift Rubber Tracks

Filed under: general — admin @ 1:39 pm

We all know that rubber tracks can take vehicles to places that wheeled vehicles can’t go, by spreading the weight across a larger area. Here we have a boom vehicle designed to access high areas, but rather than a longer rubber track across 2 wheels, this has single wheels covered with the rubber material to give extra grip. The whole unit can be driven by the man in the boom, making this a one man operation in safe areas. this is no small vehicle either, it has substanial power and combinded with its rubber trackes wheels ill have many uses for outside in non tarmaced areas, even though bogs and low water locations..

Track Parts

Filed under: general — admin @ 3:03 pm

Keeping that rubber track turning needs more than a black piece of rubber circling a few wheels, well no so so. These track parts as they are called are quiet specialist and not available from your local auto store. Such parts like Sprockets, which drive the rubber tracks and then there are idlers and don’t forget those rubber pads and track rollers. Without these track parts, your tracked machine does not move.

Clearly business need access to these spares quickly or in times of trouble their business starts losing money as their vehicles grind to a halt. Businesses like Universal Track Parts will get your parts out to you next day and of course the quality of these parts are critical. There is no point in adding cheap non tested parts to your business machines, if you are going to lose money with employees standing around when you only get a quater of the workload used.

So the trick is to ensure you get gorr quality parts, delivered on time by a reputable firm like Universal Track Parts.

Go Kart With Rubber Tracks

Filed under: conversions — admin @ 4:17 pm

We couldn’t think of any other way to describe this vehcile as a Go kart with Rubber Tracks. When it moves only the front and rear sprockets actually touch the rubber tracks, except when going over extreme . What you get is a one man vehicle than can handle severe snow stuff very well, although I would imaging the guy would get cold very easy.

It looks like it was made in the garage, but there is no doubt lots of fun especially when drifting like this guy is doing here. It is great to see rubber tracks conversions like this, glad we dont have the weather in the UK to try them out that much though.

Filed under: adverts — admin @ 4:08 pm

If you work in a swamp like Shrek, then you may just find a need for a rubber tracked vehicle like the Prinroth Trooper. These vehicle look like they can get through any type of ground even when it is 3 ft under water. The rubber tracks of this vehicle spreads the weight, to keep it going even when the water is up to the windscreen. the speed this vehicle goes is also impressive with the plough at the front to clear the way. its rubber tracks are just about longer than the vehcile itself giving it some substantial grip.

Volvo BV202 Rubber Tracked Vehicle

Filed under: general — admin @ 12:14 pm

I though Volvo was the the largest exporter of cars and generally made the safteest cars in the world, not to mention their headlights never switch iff in winter, but I did not know they made vehicles with rubber tracks. This BV202 is obviously an example of this.

This example is being used through woods of I presume Scandinavia and looks like a military vehicle. Anothe example of how a vehcile with rubber tracks can help businesses move stock and people.

Canycom Rubber Track Vehicle

Filed under: adverts — admin @ 12:08 pm

The first impresssion is a vehicle from Thunderbirds but but this Canycom is real and have real value. Running in rubber tracks, thuis vehcile allows a worker to stand and drive this tipper type vehicle that has the movements of a fork lift truck on unstable or rought  ground.  It looks like an idela solution to move dirt using its polythene dump bucket.

Of course its rubber tracks means it can work in areas where wheeled small dump trucks can’t and a 90% dump angle. easy hand controls makes this easy to drive. Another rubber tracked vehicle to look at, watch the video.

Remote Controlled Air Compressor On Rubber Tracks

Filed under: general — admin @ 8:30 am

Not every rubber tracked vehicle is actually driven with a driver sitting within some are remotely controlled. In this case it is an air compressor that has been fitted with rubber tracks.

Sometimes we need this type of machinery in areas that normal wheels will not get to, so by adding rubber tracks and then a remote control system to move it to the exact location certain solutions can be found for unique issues.

In these case these huge tools on rubber tracks have to be transported in by lorry to the nearest convenient place.

Fixing Rubber Tracks in The Snow

Filed under: snow — admin @ 12:07 pm

The bad news about having a tracked vehicle that can just about go anywhere in the snow, is changing the rubber tracks in the same conditions. This need not be as hard as you may think, in this video you will see how some Terra rubber tracks were changed in the snow and it took around 47 minutes. Of course they knew what they were doing and the video has been reduced in size. But it does give a good indictaion of what is required to change any rubber tracks on a smallish vehicle in the snow.
